Liver Support • Skin Health • Gentle Detox
Yellow dock root is a traditional herbal support used to nourish the liver, support healthy blood, and gently assist the body’s natural detoxification pathways in dogs and cats. It is especially helpful for pets dealing with chronic skin concerns, sluggish digestion, or overall low vitality.
From a holistic perspective, yellow dock works by supporting the body internally—helping to clear buildup, improve nutrient absorption, and restore balance from within.
TCM Perspective (Traditional Chinese Medicine)
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, yellow dock is considered a cooling and moving herb.
- Helps clear heat from the body (often associated with skin flare-ups, redness, and irritation)
- Supports the Liver system, which plays a key role in detoxification and emotional balance
- Moves stagnant blood and Qi, helping restore proper flow and function
- Useful in pets showing signs of:
- hot, itchy skin
- irritability or restlessness
- sluggish digestion
- buildup or “damp heat” patterns
Yellow dock is often used to cool, cleanse, and support internal balance, especially when heat and stagnation are contributing to outward symptoms.
